Stampin’ Up! Go To Greetings Thinking of You for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Go To Greetings Stamp Set, the Flowers of Home Dies and the New Horizons Designer Series Paper.  We are working with a Theme Challenge this week.  Here is my card:And our Theme for this week is Create a Scene :

The New Horizons Designer Series Paper is a gorgeous collection of designs perfect for creating scenes.  It will retire at the end of June, so don’t miss the opportunity to add it to your collection!

I CASE’d this card from one I saw on Facebook that was made by Valarie McDonald.  She referred to this technique as the “Torn Effect”.  The Basic White card stock panel is actually torn and the DSP is adhered behind the opening.  The edges around the scene are so soft.  After tearing the Basic White card stock panel to create the opening (approx 1-1/4″ x 3-1/2″) stamp the sentiment from the Go To Greetings stamp set with Starry Sky ink.   Adhere the DSP panel behind the opening with Multipurpose Liquid Glue then adhere to a panel of Starry Sky card stock.  Adhere the layered piece to the front of a Fresh Freesia card base, also with Glue.

Using dies from the Flowers of Home Die Set, cut some branches from Evening Evergreen card stock and some flowers from Fresh Freesia.  Adhere the branches and flowers with Liquid Glue and add some of the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds in Fresh Freesia to complete.

The inside Basic White panel is adhered to a panel of Starry Sky card stock before adhering to the card base with Liquid Glue.  Add a couple of branches and flowers to complete.  This card went together quickly.  Give it a try!
