Stampin’ Up! Happy Holly-Days for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Happy Holly-Days Stamp Set and Seasonal Labels Dies and the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a Sketch Challenge this week.  Here is my project:

And here is the Sketch we’re using:

I couldn’t resist the Happy Holly-Days Stamp Set with the cute bird and lots of sentiments. It was on my short list for the new July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.  And this is actually my first Christmas card this season, so yes, I like it.  I hope you do too!

Adhere a panel of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper to an Evening Evergreen card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then use Glue to adhere a strip of Designer Series Paper from the same collection across the center of the card.  Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere a length of Evening Evergreen 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon across the card front as shown.

Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the bird image on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Color the bird with Cherry Cobbler Light and Dark Blends Markers.  Color the beak and legs with Pale Papaya Light and Dark Blends Markers.  Crop the image with a die from the Seasonal Labels Dies.  Turn the die over and use a pencil to trace the outline of the die on a panel of Evening Evergreen card stock.  Use Paper Snips to cut along the line to create a mat for the art piece.  Adhere the art piece to the mat with Liquid Glue.

Stamp the holly image on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Color the leaves with an Evening Evergreen Light Blends Marker.  Color the berries with Cherry Cobbler Light and Darks Blends markers.  Use Paper Snips to cut the holly image out and adhere to the art piece with Mini Glue Dots.  Stamp the sentiment on a strip of Evening Evergreen card stock with Versamark Ink.  Sprinkle with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat until glossy and set.  Trim the strip down to desired size – mine is 3/8″ x 3-1/2″.  Adhere across the art piece with Mini Glue Dots.  Adhere the art piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use Evening Evergreen Ink to stamp the sentiment from the Happy Holly-Days stamp set on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere a strip of DSP along the bottom edge of the panel before adhering it to the inside of the card.  My first Christmas card of the season is made, many more to go!
