Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week. My project today features the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set, the Harvest Dies and the Tailor Made Tags Dies. I also used the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper. We are all working with a Color Challenge this week. Here is my project:
And here are the Colors we’re using (pick at least 3) :
I chose three of the colors for today’s card – Soft Succulent, Misty Moonlight and Crumb Cake. It’s an easy card to make, thanks to the Tailor Made Tags Dies and Harvest Dies. Use Basic White Thick card stock for the card base and the tag which is cut with the largest tag die. Add texture to the tag with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
Use the same tag die to cut a panel of Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper. Cut the reinforcement for the white tag from Crumb Cake card stock – also with a die from the Tailor Made Tags Die Set. Use a die from the Harvest Dies to cut the blooming grasses from a panel of Soft Succulent card stock. Add color to the flowers using a sponge dauber inked with a Misty Moonight ink pad.
Adhere the grasses to the white tag with small dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Use Paper Snips to trim the ends of the grasses even with the bottom of the tag. Adhere the reinforcement to the tag with Liquid Glue, as well. Layer the white tag over the DSP tag, align the holes at the top and adhere together with Liquid Glue. Thread a length of Soft Succulent 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon through the hole at the top of the tags. Secure the ribbon in place with some Linen Thread, knotted and tied in a bow.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of Harvest Meadow DSP to the front of the Basic White Thick card base. Then adhere the tags to the front of the card with Mini Glue Dots. Stamp the sentiment from the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock. Crop the sentiment with a label die included in the Harvest Dies. Adhere the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Embellish with a few Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots in the bronze color.
Stamp the small floral image from the Nature’s Harvest stamp set with Soft Succulent ink – stamped off once – on a panel of Basic White card stock. Adhere a strip of DSP along the bottome of the panel with Liquid Glue. Then adhere the panel to the inside of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Now it’s ready for your handwritten note.
