Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! Our theme this month is “For the Men/Boys”. My project today features the A Cut Above Stamp Set. We have a great group of participants in our hop this month. Please take time to stop by to visit each blog to see what the Inkin’ Krew Team members are sharing with you today.
My post today features A Cut Above – a stamp set from the Jan-June 2021 Mini Catalog. It’s still available for ordering until June 30. The image is stamped with StazOn ink on a panel of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Use a Waterbrush and Balmy Blue ink to add color to the background.
Use a Blender Pen to pick up ink from the lids of stamp pads to “paint” the image. Here are the colors used in this sample: Misty Moonlight for the jeans, Real Red for the cap and lawn mower, Smoky Slate for the wheels and sneakers, Sahara Sand for the handles and bag on the mower, Pear Pizzazz for the lawn, Petal Pink as the skin color.
Adhere a panel of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper to the front of a Smoky Slate card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Crop the Art piece and a Real Red mat. Keep in mind that the dimensions given below are the finished size after die cutting with the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Adhere the art piece to the mat of Real Red card stock with Liquid Glue.
Wrap a length of Basic Gray Well Suited Twine twice around the left side of the art piece and tie ends in a double knot. Adhere to the card front with Dimensionals. Use Smoky Slate ink to stamp the sentiment on a panel of Basic White card stock. Crop with a Stitched Rectangles die. Adhere the sentiment with Liquid Glue.
Stamp the sentiments with Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Basic White card stock. Crop the panel with a Stitched Rectangle Die. Adhere to a Real Red mat cropped with a die the next size up. Then adhere the layer to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue. Simple and masculine – and DONE!
