Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week. My project today features a Sneak Peek of the Quiet Meadow Bundle and the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper. We are all working with a Sketch Challenge this week. Here is my project:
And here is the sketch we are using:
The floral image from the Quiet Meadow stamp set is so fun and easy to color. Use StazOn Jet Black ink to stamp the image on Basic White card stock and color with Stampin’ Write markers from the Subtles collection – So Saffron for the flower centers, Blushing Bride for the flower petals and Soft Sea Foam for the stems and leaves.
Add a panel of Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper to the front of a Basic Black card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then adhere the hand colored panel to a Basic Black mat with Liquid Glue before adding it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add the sentiment from the Quiet Meadow stamp set to a panel of Basic Black card stock by using Versmark ink, White Stampin’ Emoss Powder and the Heat Tool. After it’s completely cooled, crop with the label die from the Meadow Dies. Then trim the scalloped ends off with your Paper Snips, so they are straight, the same as the top and bottom edges.
Cut another label from Blushing Bride card stock and trim the ends in the same manner. Use Liquid Glue to adhere the two together slightly offset. Then adhere to the card front using Glue under the left side and Dimensionals under the right side.
Ink the floral image with Jet Black ink and stamp off once on scrap paper before stamping along the left side of a panel of Basic White card stock. Add the sentiment from the Quiet Meadow stamp stamp to the center of the inside panel with Black ink. Adhere the panel to a mat of Blushing Bride card stock before adding to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.
