Stampin’ Up! Vibrant Vases for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you.  My card features the Vibrant Vases and Itty Bitty Greetings stamp sets – which are both carrying over to the new Annual Catalog.  I also used the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper which will only be available until June 3rd, or while supplies last.  Get it while you can!  We are all working with a color challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here are the colors we are using:

My card layout was inspired by The Paper Players Sketch Challenge PP439:

The Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper coordinates so well with the many Stitched Die options offered by Stampin’ Up!  I will miss it when it retires next month.

To begin, use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere two panels of Needlepoint Nook DSP to the front of the Sahara Sand card stock base – one vertical and one horizontal.

Emboss the vase images with White Stampin’ Emboss powder on Sahara Sand card stock before cutting them out with the coordinating Vases Builder Punch.  Use Pear Pizzazz ink to stamp the daisy image on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Use Highland Heather ink to stamp color in the flower petals. Determine the placement of the vase and then cut the panel with a circle die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.

Stamp the tulip bloom and leaf on a scrap of Whisper White card stock with Pear Pizzazz ink.  Add color to the flower and leaf with the coordinating stamps and Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz ink.  Cut them out with the Vase Builder punch.  Stamp the stem for the tulip then add the flower and leaf pieces with Liquid Glue.  Use Glue to adhere the vases.

Stamp the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Cut it out with the Classic Label Punch.  Adhere it to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Adhere the completed art piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the centers of the daisies and one more on the sentiment label.

Add two strips of Needlepoint Nook DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock – one vertical and one horizontal.  Then adhere the panel to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.  All done and ready to write a heartfelt note.
