Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Art Gallery Stamp Set, Floral Gallery Dies and the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper.  We are working with a Color Challenge this week.  Here is my card:

And here are the colors we are using this week:

This card features a panel of the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper that includes four of the five colors listed above.  So fun!  To begin, adhere a panel of the DSP to a panel of Calypso Coral card stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then use Glue to adhere a strip of DSP from the same collection across the front.

Wrap a length of Orchid Oasis 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon twice around the decorative panel and tie a bow close to the right edge.  Then adhere the panel to the front of the Orchid Oasis card base with Liquid Glue.  Use Calypso Coral ink to stamp the large flower from the Art Gallery Stamp Set on a panel of Basic White card stock, stamping off once on a scrap first.  Then stamp the flower highlights in full strength Calypso Coral.

Use the coordinating die from the Floral Gallery Dies to cut out the flower.  Cut a circle from Basic White card stock with the second to largest Stylish Shapes dies.  Adhere the die cut flower to the circle with Liquid Glue. Adhere the floral circle accent to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use Orchid Oasis ink to stamp the sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set on a strip of Basic White card stock.  Cut out the sentiment with a die from the Floral Gallery Dies.  Adhere to the card front with Dimensionals under the left end and Glue where it overlaps the flower piece.  Add a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to complete.

Adhere a strip of the Fancy Flora DSP along the left side of a panel of Basic White card stock.  Adhere the panel to a Calypso Coral mat with Liquid Glue and then use Glue to adhere the layer to the inside of the card base.  Ready to go!
