Stampin’ Up! Something Fancy Sympathy Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Something Fancy Bundle, Penned Flowers Dies and the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper.  We are working with a Sketch Challenge this week.  Here is my card:

And here is the Sketch we are using this week:

This sympathy card is monochromatic – Gray, White and Silver – so these look like black and white photos, but they are in color.  The card is very simple but elegant in person.

Use the matte silver foil paper to add some shimmer to the design.  The die cut flowers and leaves are from the Penned Flowers Dies.  Adhere a panel of the gray and white floral print design from the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper to a panel of the matte Silver Foil Paper with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Die cut the large floral design and the large leaf design from matte Silver Foil with dies from the Penned Flowers dies.  Use Smoky Slate ink to stamp the sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Cut it out with a label die from the Something Fancy Dies. Use the medium sized label die of the same shape to cut a mat from Smoky Slate card stock.  Adhere the stamped sentiment label to the mat with Liquid Glue.

Determine the placement of the die cuts and adhere them to the front layer with small dabs of Liquid Glue.  Adhere the label to the card front with Glue.  Then adhere the completed panel to the Smoky  Slate card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Add some Iridescent Pearl embellishments.

Adhere a panel of Basic White card stock to a panel of the Abigail Rose DSP using Liquid Glue.  Then adhere the layer to the inside of the card with Glue, as well.  Add a double leaf die cut and a large leaf die cut from the matte Silver Foil to the inside of the card as shown.
