Stampin’ Up! Handmade Wishes Happy Holidays for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Handmade Wishes Stamp Setthe Handmade Tag Punch and the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper.  We are working with a Color Challenge this week.  Here is my card:

And these are the Colors we are using (pick at least 3):

Thanks to the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper, I used all five colors and was able to showcase the Designer Series Paper, the Handmade Wishes Stamp Set and Handmade Tag Punch.

This card is one of my go-to Fun Folds – the Joy Fold.  It’s an easy one.  Cut the panels of card stock and DSP as listed below and you should be able to put this together quickly.  Using different patterns from the same pack of Designer Series Paper makes coordination even easier.

Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere all the panels of DSP and card stock.  The largest panel (multicolor diagonal stripes) of the Sweetest Christmas DSP is adhered to the inside/front of the Real Red card base.  The medium sized piece (dots) is adhered to the front of the smaller card.

Use Real Red ink to stamp the scalloped frame from the Handmade Wishes stamp set on a panel of Basic White card stock.  The sentiment and holly leaves are stamped with Garden Green ink.  The berries are stamped in Real Red ink.  Use the Handmade Tag Punch to cut it out.  Adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  And add some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels over the top of the stamped berries for a little sparkle.

The small candy cane strips are adhered to the lower front flap – one is inside and one is on the front.  Stamp the holly leaves and berries in the corners of the Basic White inside panel before adhering to the inside of the card with Glue.  Have fun mixing and matching and trying different papers!
