Stampin’ Up! Hello Harvest Basket for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Cheerful Basket Bundle, the Hello Harvest Stamp Set, the Deckled Rectangle Dies and the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper.  We are working with a Theme Challenge this week.  Here is my card:

 Theme this week is Harvest:

The Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper has been calling to me to do some fussy-cutting.  I know not everybody enjoys fussy-cutting, but I find myself drawn to do so sometimes.  So I went with a harvest of pumpkins and squash in a sweet wooden basket from the Cheerful Basket Bundle for the challenge.

The basket is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White Thick card stock and colored with Stampin’ Blends markers.  The wooden slats and handle are colored with Dark Crumb Cake and Dark Soft Suede.  I colored the bands with Bronze and then went over them with Dark Cajun Craze.  Use the coordinating die from the Full Basket Dies set to crop the basket.  Use Paper Snips to trim off the thin white border across the top.

Use Paper Snips to fussy-cut the pumpkins, squash and leaves from the Rustic Harvest DSP.  Cut a few of the oak leaves and acorns too and color them with Dark Crumb Cake, Dark Soft Suede and Light Mossy Meadow Blends markers.

Use the Deckled Rectangle Dies to crop a panel of Celebrate Everything DSP (second to largest die) and also to cut a mat of Mossy Meadow card stock (largest die).  Adhere the layer with Liquid Glue.  Adhere the basket to the front of the layer with Liquid Glue as well.  Dry fit the leaves and squash to get the look you want and then adhere with Mini Glue Dots and/or Glue.  Adhere the front panel to the front of a Cajun Craze card base with Stampin’ Diemsionals.

Stamp the sentiment from the Hello Harvest stamp set with Cajun Craze ink on a panel of Basic White Thick card stock.  Crop with the smallest die from the Deckled Rectangles Dies.  Adhere the leaf and acorns with Liquid Glue.  The sentiment is adhered to the front panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Adhere a panel of Basic White card stock to a Mossy Meadow mat before adhering to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.  Adhere a colored oak leaf with acorns cluster to the bottom left corner with Liquid Glue.  Since this can be a notecard or a Thanksgiving card, or even a Thank You note, I left the inside blank for now.
