Stampin’ Up! Tidings & Trimmings Misty Moonlight Star for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Tidings & Trimmings Stamp Set and the Christmas Trimmings Dies.  I also used the Beautiful Trees Dies.  We are all working with a Sketch Challenge this week.  Here is my project:

Here is the Sketch we are using this week:

I’ve been wanting to feature the pretty star in the Tidings & Trimmings stamp set, so this seemed like the perfect sketch to let it shine front & center.  Misty Moonlight is still a favorite color of mine, so I used it like the night sky background behind the pretty star.

Adhere a panel of In Color 2020-2022 Designer Series Paper to a Basic White card stock mat with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then adhere the layer directly to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base.  Using the Christmas Trimmings Dies, cut the solid star from Basic White card stock and the star accent is cut from the lightest shade of silver in the Silver Foil Specialty Pack.  Adhere the accent to the solid star with small dabs of Liquid Glue.

The touch of nature accent was inspired by a card made by Nikki Spencer.  The twig with berries is cut from Crumb Cake card stock and the berries are Cherry Cobbler – adhered with Glue.  The leafy branch is Evening Evergreen.  They are cut with dies in the Christmas Trimmings Dies set.  Adhere them to the star with Liquid Glue.  Top with a bow made with twine from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, adhered with a Mini Glue Dot.

Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the star centered on the card front.  Use Silver Stampin’ Emboss powder to add the sentiment from the Tidings and Trimmings stamp set to a panel of Misty Moonlight card stock.  Crop with a die from the Beautiful Trees Dies and adhere as shown using Dimensionals on the card base and Glue in the area it overlaps the star.

Stamp the stocking image from the Tidings & Trimmings on a panel of Basic White card stock with Misty Moonlight ink, stamped off once.  Then stamp the sentiment with the same color, fully inked.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the card base.
