Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week. My project today features the Sweet Little Stockings Stamp Set, the Stockings Dies and the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper. We are all working with a Color Challenge this week. Here is my project:
This pattern in the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper collection has the cutest critters in stockings just begging to be showcased. AND it has all the colors in this week’s Color Challenge. Win-win! AND it makes me smile.
This is a pretty simple card to make. Adhere a 7/8″ wide strip of the Sweet Stockings DSP across the top of the front of Basic White Thick card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Glue a 1/1/8″ wide strip of the same DSP across the bottom of the card base.
Adhere a panel of the Designer Series Paper to a mat of Evening Evergreen card stock using Liquid Glue. Then adhere the layer to a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock. Use Liquid Glue to adhere the completed layer to the card front, as shown.
Use Cherry Cobbler ink to stamp the sentiment from the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set on a strip of Basic White Thick card stock. Trim the ends of the strip with Paper Snips. Adhere a 4-3/4″ length of Pool Party 3/8″ Striped Grosgrain Ribbon to the front of the card base with Mini Glue Dots. Adhere the sentiment over the top of the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a medium size Bumblebee Matte Decorative Dot to complete.
Stamp the sentiment from the Sweet Little Stockings Stamp Set on a panel of Basic White card stock with Cherry Cobbler ink. Use Paper Snips to fussy-cut a couple little critters in stockings from the Sweet Stockings DSP. Adhere them with Liquid Glue. Then adhere the stamped panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat before adhering to the inside of the card.
