Stampin’ Up! Very Versailles Snail Mail for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the retiring Snail Mail Designer Series Paper and a sentiment from the Very Versailles Stamp Set that is carrying over in the 2021-22 Annual Catalog.  We are all working with a Color Challenge this week.  Here is my project:

And these are the colors we are using (pick at least 3):

I used all 5 colors in the Challenge!  When I saw this card made by Tammy Wilson on Pinterest using strips of paper, I thought it would be a perfect way to use my scraps of Snail Mail DSP that’s retiring soon.  (Like it?  Get it before it’s gone for good.)

Cut strips of Designer Series paper in varying widths (from 3/8″ to 3/4″ wide) and varying lengths (from 2-5/8″ to 3-1/4″ long).  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the strips to a panel of Basic White card stock that has been textured using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  Use the Bark 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock.  Adhere the textured panel to a Bermuda Bay card base using Stampin’ Seal tape.

Then adhere the art piece to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Use Basic Gray ink to stamp the sentiment from the Very Versailles Stamp Set on a strip of Basic White card stock.  Tie a triple loop bow with White twine and adhere to the back of the sentiment strip with a Mini Glue Dot.  Then adhere the sentiment to the card front with Dimensionals.  Add some bling with a few Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Adhere a strip of Snail Mail DSP along the bottom edge of a panel of DSP that reminds me of manuscript paper.  Use Paper Snips to cut a small word balloon and adhere with Glue.  Then adhere the panel inside the card with Liquid Glue.  How fun is that?
