Stampin’ Up! Springtime Joy Floral for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Springtime Joy Stamp Set, Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set, Brilliant Wings Dies and True Love Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a Theme Challenge this week.  Here is my project:

Our theme this week is Springtime:

Color a panel of True Love Designer Series Paper with Stampin’ Blends.  I used Light Balmy Blue for the background, Light Granny Apple Green for the leaves, Dark Mango Melody for the flower centers and Light Flirty Flamingo on the flower petals.  The panel is cut with the second to largest die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  Adhere the colored panel to a Basic White mat with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Wrap a length of White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding twice around the art piece and adhere the ends to the back side with tape.  Adhere the art piece to the front of the Balmy Blue card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the sentiment from the Springtime Joy stamp set on a panel of Basic White card stock, then crop it with the label die from the Potted Succulents Dies.  To make a mat for the sentiment, lay the die upside down on a panel of Balmy Blue card stock.  Use a pencil to trace around the outside edge of the die and use paper snips to cut along the traced line.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment piece to the mat.  Then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment layer over the ribbon on the art piece.  Tie a small bow with the ribbon and adhere next to the sentiment with a Mini Glue Dot.

Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp a butterfly from the Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set on a panel of Basic White Thick card stock.  Color with a Light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends marker.  Crop with the coordinating die from the Brilliant Wings die set.  Shape the wings a bit with your fingers, then adhere it to the card front with Liquid Glue applied only under the body.  Add three small Pearl Basic Jewels on the butterfly and one more pearl next to the sentiment.

Adhere a strip of the colored DSP along the bottom edge of a panel of Basic White card stock.  Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the sentiment from the Springtime Joy stamp set just above the strip.  Then adhere the panel to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.
