Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week. My project today features the Hey Chick Stamp Set, the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder and the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. We are all working with a Sketch Challenge this week. Here is my project:
And this is the sketch we are using this week:
The Hey Chick Stamp Set was first introduced as a SALE-a-bration item in 2017 and Stampin’ Up! brought it back this month, along with a coordinating die set. They are not in the catalog but you can find them in the Stampin’ Up! store. Adorable!
Use the largest die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies to cut a panel of Basic White card stock. Use the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to the panel. Then adhere a strip of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper across the bottom section using Liquid Glue. Use Stampin’ Seal to adhere the layered piece to a mat of Cherry Cobbler card stock to complete the front panel.
Stamp the fun chicken image on a panel of Basic White card stock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Color the bird with the following Stampin’ Blends Markers: Ivory, Bronze, Light Cherry Cobbler and Light Calypso Coral. Use the Color Lifter as needed to soften the edges. Crop the image with an oval die from the Stitched Shapes Dies. Adhere the art piece to a Cherry Cobbler scalloped oval mat cut with the Layering Ovals Dies.
Use the smallest scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies to crop a strip of Early Espresso card stock. Use Cherry Cobbler ink to stamp the sentiment from the Hey Chick stamp set on a strip of Basic White card stock. Cut it out with the smallest die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies set. Determine the final placement of all the components, then adhere the Early Espresso scalloped rectangle to the front panel with Liquid Glue.
Wrap a length of Linen Thread across the front panel twice and tie a bow. Then use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the sentiment strip over the thread on the mat. The art piece is adhered to the front panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adjust the bow as needed. Adhere the front panel to the Early Espresso card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the fun chicken in the bottom right corner of a panel of Basic White card stock cut with the largest die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Color the chicken with Stampin’ Blends markers, the same as the image on the card front. Then adhere the panel to a mat of Cherry Cobbler card stock before adhering to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.

This is adorable Sue 🙂 I love the embossed panel and the DSP you used. Perfection!!!
That’s awesome Sue! Perfect background under that cute chick!! 🙂
So cute!! Great coloring and great background!n😊
That chick is always a smile maker for me; I love your coloring of her to set off her fun hair. Perfect background papers too! TFS
Love that chicken! That embossing behind sort of makes one think ‘chicken coop’, without actually being chicken wire. Great interpretation of the sketch!
Nice card! Love it…
So. Stinkin’. Cute! Maybe one of the cutest I’ve seen with this set!! Love it! 🙂
Love every detail of your card. The stamp set, paper and embossing folder, PERFECTION!
