Stampin’ Up! Banner Year Happy Fall for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Banner Year Stamp Set and the Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper, as well as the Apple Builder Punch.  We are all working with a Sketch Challenge – here’s my project:

And here is the sketch we are all using:

The Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper has  a number of delicate lacey and floral patterns and I chose to combine a couple of them to make a Halloween or Fall card with a feminine feel.  The Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder adds the perfect touch of texture.

Adhere a panel of  the black and white lace patterned designer series paper to the front of a Basic Black card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then cut a panel of Whisper White card stock using a die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies – finished size is 2-5/8″ x 4″.  Add texture to this panel with the Ornate Floral 3-D Embossing Folder and then adhere it to a mat of Basic Black card stock.  Adhere this layer to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use the Apple Builder punch to cut one apple/pumpkin shape from the delicate floral design pattern of the DSP and a second one from Cajun Craze card stock.  Adhere them together with Liquid Glue.  This gives the apple/pumpkin more stability.  Use the same punch to cut a stem from Basic Black card stock and a leaf from the black and white lacey DSP.  Adhere the pumpkin, stem and leaf to the card front using Dimensionals.

Use White Stampin’ Emboss powder to add the sentiment from the Banner Year Stamp Set to a strip of Basic Black card stock.  Cut it out with the narrow die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  Add to the card front with Dimensionals.  Tie a small bow with the black and white twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack and adhere with a Mini Glue Dot.

Punch a few more leaves for the inside of the card.  Adhere the leaves to a panel of Whisper White card stock with glue dots and then adhere the panel to the inside of the card base with Glue.  It’s ready to send for Halloween, Thanksgiving or Fall – you decide!
