Stampin’ Up! Have A Hoot Halloween Notecards for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!  Our theme is “Halloween Fun”.  My project today features the Have A Hoot Stamp Set and the coordinating Peek-A-Hoot Dies.  We have a great group of participants in our hop this month.  Please take time to stop by to visit each blog to see what the Inkin’ Krew Team members are sharing with you today.

I had some Halloween Fun of my own creating these 3″ x 3″ note cards using the Have A Hoot Stamp Set and coordinating Peek-A-Hoot Dies.  Each note card has a bit of sparkle, too!  I used a bit of Black Glitter Paper, Rainbow Glimmer Paper, Glittered Black Organdy Ribbon and Clear Wink of Stella.

This card base is Pumpkin Pie card stock with the sentiment stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The spider web is cut from Black Glitter Paper with a die from the Peek-A-Hoot Dies set.  Stamp the owl image with Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock and color with Stampin’ Blends markers.  Use Light Smoky Slate for the tree, Light and Dark Crumb Cake for the owl, Dark Mango Melody for the owl’s eyes, Dark Pumpkin Pie for the owl’s beak and feet and Dark Basic Black for the spider.  Add some sparkle to the spider and the owl’s eyes with Clear Wink of Stella.  Cut out the image with the largest tag die in the Peek-A-Hoot Dies set.  Use Glittered Black Organdy Ribbon and black and white twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo to complete the look.

Cut a spider web from Whisper White card stock and glue it to the Basic Black card base.  Use the Everyday Label Punch to cut a label from the yellow and orange section of Rainbow Glimmer Paper.  Adhere it to the largest label in the Peek-A-Hoot Dies set cut from Pumpkin Pie card stock.  Stamp the owl image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock and color with Stampin’ Blends.  Use Light and Dark Crumb Cake for the owl, Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie for the jack-o-lantern, and Dark Mango Melody for the owls’ eyes and feet and the jack-o-lantern’s eyes, nose and mouth.  There is a coordinating die in the set to cut out the owl – Yay!  Add some sparkle to the Owl’s eyes and the jack-o-lantern’s eyes, nose and mouth with Clear Wink of Stella.  The bow is tied from Glittered Black Organdy Ribbon and adhered with Mini Glue Dots.  The sentiment is stamped on a scrap and hand trimmed with Paper Snips.

Start with a Whisper White card base.  Cut a panel of Plaid Tidings DSP and adhere to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Add a spider web cut from Pumpkin Pie card stock in the corner.  Stamp the owl image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock and color with Stampin’ Blends.  Use Light and Dark Crumb Cake for the owl, Dark Mango Melody for the owl’s eyes and feet and Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie for the owl’s mask.  Add some sparkle to the owl’s eyes with Clear Wink of Stella.  Cut out the image with the coordinating die.  The circle behind the owl is cut from Rainbow Glimmer Paper using a die from the Tasteful Labels Dies set.  It is then adhered to the largest label from the Peek-A-Hoot Dies set cut from Basic Black card stock.  Loop a length of black and white twine from the Playful Pets Combo Pack through the label to complete.

I hope you’ll get a chance to play with this cute set and have some Halloween Fun, too!
