Stampin’ Up! Waterfront on Wood for the Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew team blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month our theme is a “Masculine” card.  My card features the Waterfront stamp set and Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.  Here is the card I created:

My card layout today is based on a the May 2018 Viva la Verve Sketch Challenge :

The Waterfront stamp set can be used to create landscape scenes in so many different ways, the possibilities are endless.  For today’s card, I stamped the images directly on the Wood Textures 6×6 Designer Series Paper for a rustic, masculine look.

To begin, stamp the tree image in the bottom left corner of a panel of Wood Textures DSP with the returning Mossy Meadow ink.  Then adhere the DSP panel to an Early Espresso card stock mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Use the Banner Triple Punch on a panel of Wood Textures DSP and then adhere it to the front layer with Liquid Glue.

Stamp the tree image with Mossy Meadow ink on the bottom right corner of the rectangular panel of DSP and then adhere it to the front layer with Liquid Glue.  Cut a length of Burlap Ribbon, wrap it across the front layer and secure the ends in place on the back side with tape.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the front layer to the card base.  Stamp the tree images multiple times on the left side of a panel of Wood Textures DSP in Mossy Meadow ink without re-inking.  Stamp the mountain shaped image on the right side of the panel twice in the new Gray Granite ink without re-inking.

Stamp the water image with the new Balmy Blue ink.  Use a sponge dauber with Balmy Blue ink to add some touches of color to the sky area, as well.  Add some Gray Granite ink with a sponge dauber along the lower edge of the panel to ground the trees.  Ink the three smallest birds from the High Tide stamp set with Gray Granite ink and stamp them in the sky.  Die cut the art piece with the largest circle die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  Adhere it to a mat cut from Early Espresso card stock using the largest scalloped circle die from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the completed landscape scene layer to the card front.  Thread a length of Linen Thread through a large button from the True Gentleman button collection and tie a knot.  Adhere the button to the card front with a couple of Glue Dots.

Stamp the tree image with Mossy Meadow ink in the lower right corner of a panel of Very Vanilla card stock a couple times without re-inking.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere a strip of Wood Textures DSP along the left edge of the panel and then adhere the completed panel to the card interior with Liquid Glue, as well.

The cards will be used for two guy birthday cards. Love the card, the directions were great, and I really enjoyed making it because of the variety of techniques.
