Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Country Bouquet Stamp Setthe Playing in the Rain Dies and the Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper.  We are working with a Color Challenge this week.  Here is my card:

And here are the colors we are using (pick at least 3).  I used four of them.

My card design was inspired by this one posted by Mary Deatherage.  She called the design a Folded Corner Peek-A-Boo card.  Check out her post for a great graphic plus a video tutorial.

Begin by cutting and scoring the four rectangles of DSP from the Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper for the card front.  Be mindful of the placement of the folds if your paper has a directional design.  I did a dry-fit to determine the placement of the sentiment from the Country Bouquet stamp set on the Basic White card stock.  Then I stamped it with Tuxedo Black Memento ink using the Stamparatus.  Adhere the rectangles to the Basic White panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I added Glue Dots to keep the folded sections stuck back.

Use the Playing in the Rain Dies to cut out a character from the Rain or Shine Specialty DSP.  Adhere it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Adhere a few Loose Daisy Embellishments with dabs of Liquid Glue.

Stamp the sentiments and small hearts from the Country Bouquet stamp set on a panel of Basic White card stock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Adhere a strip of Rain or Shine Specialty DSP along the left side and add a few Loose Daisy Embellishments in the lower right corner.  Adhere to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue.
