Stampin’ Up! Boughs of Holly for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Leaves of Holly Stamp Set, the Holly Berry Dies and the Boughs  of Holly Designer Series Paper.  We are working with a Sketch Challenge this week.  Here is my card:

And here is the Sketch we are using:

The Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper has a few designs featuring beautiful poinsettias.  I chose this one to showcase today.  The card came together quickly, so it would be easy to make in multiples, if you like to mail cards out for holidays.

Use a Light Soft Succulent Blends marker to add some fine splatters to the front of the Basic White Thick card base.  To do that, flick the brush end of the marker against the inside of the cap to flick ink onto the paper.  Next, adhere a panel of the Boughs of Holly DSP to a panel of Evening Evergreen card stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then glue the layer to the front of the card base.

Add the sentiment from the Leaves of Holly stamp set to a strip of Evening Evergreen card stock heat embossed with White embossing powder.  Crop the sentiment with the label die from the Holly Berry Dies set.  Adhere the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Flick more ink with the Light Soft Succulent Blends marker on the inside of the card. Then use Evening Evergreen ink to stamp a sentiment from the Leaves of Holly stamp set in the bottom left corner.  It’s ready for a hand written note, quick and easy!
