Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Basket of Geraniums for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!  Our theme this month is “Celebrate Summer”.  My card today features the Cheerful Basket Stamp Set, Full Basket Dies, the Geraniums Dies plus the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.  We have a great group of participants in our hop this month.  Please take time to stop by to visit each blog to see what the Inkin’ Krew Team members are sharing with you today.

As a gardener, summer is my favorite season.  And geraniums always make me think of summer.  The front is a sunshine colored panel of Hues of Happiness Designer Series paper adhered to a Basic White card stock mat.  The layer is then adhered to the front of a Granny Apple Green card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Bright and happy.

This card front is die cuts only.  Yep!  No stamping at all on the front.  These dies are awesome and it’s so fun to combine a few different collections.  Use the Geraniums Dies set for the main plant and flowers.  The pretty basket is built with the Full Basket Dies set.  The extra greenery at the base of the plant is from the Natural Prints Dies set.

Using the Geraniums Dies, cut the main plant piece from a panel of Granny Apple Green card stock.  The piece that goes behind the two big leaves is Parakeet Party card stock.  Adhere with small dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The flower base is cut from Real Red card stock.  The flower detail piece is cut from Sweet Sorbet card stock and adhered with Liquid Glue.

Use the Full Basket Dies to build the basket.  The basket base is cut from Crumb Cake card stock.  Hand cut a piece of Soft Suede card stock to adhere to the back side of the basket die cut.  The bands around the basket are cut from Grey Granite card stock.  And the handle is cut from Early Espresso.  Adhere all the pieces with dabs of Liquid Glue.

The extra greenery at the top of the basket is cut from Garden Green card stock with dies from the Natural Prints Dies.  Dry fit to determine the placement of all the components before adhering to the card front with Mini Glue Dots and/or Liquid Glue.  Add some Brushed Brass Butterflies to complete.

Use Sweet Sorbet ink to stamp the sentiment from the Cheerful Basket stamp set on the Basic White inside panel.  Glue the panel to a So Saffron card stock mat before adhering to the inside of the card.  Add one more Brushed Brass butterfly by the sentiment just for fun.
