Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Happy Hedgehogs Stamp Set, the Hedgehog Builder Punch and the Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper.  We are working with a Theme Challenge this week.  Here is my card:

Our Theme this week is “Critters”:

This cute Hedgehog critter is hanging out in the meadow with his friend, the butterfly.  The card be for any occasion, or no occasion at all, you decide!

Begin by adhering a panel of Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper to a panel of Garden Green card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the plant image on a panel of Basic White card stock, over to the right side and extending off the panel at the bottom.  Stamp the hedgehog and the butterfly on scraps of Basic White card stock.  Hint: make sure the hedgehog is on a panel large enough to easily align it when punching.  Use the Hedgehog Builder Punch to crop the critter!

Use the following Stampin’ Blends markers to color the plant: Dark Crumb Cake, Dark Petal Pink and Dark Granny Apple Green.  The hedgehog is colored with the Light Crumb Cake and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends markers.  The butterfly is colored with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends marker.  Use Paper Snips to fussy-cut the butterfly after it is colored.

Use Granny Apple Green ink to stamp some grass along the bottom edge of the artpiece.  Adhere the artpiece to the Garden Green mat with Liquid Glue.  Then adhere it to the front panel layer, centered top to bottom.  The front panel can now be adhered to the front of the card base.  Add the butterfly with Liquid Glue.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the hedgehog.  Add some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the flower centers to complete.

The inside is blank for now.  Adhere a strip of Tea Boutique DSP along the bottom edge of a panel of Basic White card stock before adhering it to a Garden Green mat.  Then adhere the layer to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.
