Stampin’ Up! Potted Geraniums for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the new Potted Geraniums Stamp Set, the coordinating Geraniums Dies and the new 2022-2024 In Colors.  We are working with a Color Challenge this week.  Here is my card:

And here are the colors we’re using:

The 2022-2024 In Colors are fun to use and perfect for a birthday card using the Potted Geraniums stamp set.  They are bright and happy, don’t you think so too?

Use a Blending Brush to add a bit of Tahitian Tide ink to a panel of Basic White card stock for the card front.  Remember to load the brush from the stamp pad, rub on a scrap first and then add color to the card stock panel.  Build the color up slowly.  Adhere the panel to a Starry Sky card stock mat with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Begin by stamping the different elements on a panel of Basic White card stock – or simply use scraps like I did, since each one is die cut after stamping.  The leaves are Parakeet Party for the base stamp and detail stamp, no stamping off.  The flower pot base stamp is Orchid Oasis stamped off once and the detail is full strength.

The flowers are Sweet Sorbet with the base stamped off once and the detail is full strength.  The little sign is Tahitian Tide and word on the sign is Starry Sky. Use Starry Sky ink for the sentiment.  All the elements are cropped with their coordinating dies from the Geraniums Dies set after the stamping is completed.

The pot, flower elements and sign are adhered to the front panel with Mini Glue Dots.  The sentiment label is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Embellish the card front with a few Brushed Brass Butterflies and a small triple loop bow tied with Sweet Sorbet baker’s twine from the 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine Pack.  The front panel is adhered to the card base with Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment from the Potted Geraniums stamp set with Starry Sky ink on a panel of Basic White card stock before adhering it to the Starry Sky mat.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the completed layer to the inside of the card base.
