Stampin’ Up! Flowering Rain Boots for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Flowering Rain Boots Bundle and the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper.  We are working with a Sketch Challenge this week.  Here is my card:

And here is the Sketch we are using:

The tulips in the Flowering Rain Boots Stamp Set coordinate with the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper beautifully.  This card came together quickly and easily, allowing the DSP to take the lead.  The tulips and leaves from the Flowering Rain Boots Stamp Set are stamped in Poppy Parade and Old Olive.  *I carefully trimmed the stamps – separating two tulips and their leaves from the left side – in a manner that they can be put back together on a block for next time.

After stamping them on Basic White card stock, use a Blender Pen to add some color to the areas that are white.  Add some Pear Pizzazz to the leaves and lightly add some Poppy Parade to the flowers.  Use the coordinating dies from the Rain Boots Dies to crop the images.  Stamp the sentiment from the Flowering Rain Boots Stamp Set with Old Olive ink in the upper right corner of a panel of Basic White card stock.

Use the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder to add textured to the stamped panel.  Then use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to mat with a panel of Pool Party card stock.  Adhere the leaves and tulips to the lower left side of the panel with Mini Glue Dots.

Use Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper to the front of a Basic White Thick card base.  Wrap a length of white twine twice around the front of the card and tie a bow on the right side.  Adhere the art piece panel to the card front over the twine using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Add a few Brushed Brass Butterflies to complete.

The inside of this card is blank.  Still deciding how I will use it – Birthday? Retirement? Encouragement? Graduation?  Or just a note?  It’s ready to send, so that’s the good thing.
