Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week. My project today features the Christmas Season Stamp Set, the Christmas to Remember Stamp Set and the Seasonal Labels Dies. We are working with a Color Challenge this week. Here is my card:
And these are the colors we’re using (pick at least 3):
The Christmas Season Stamp Set is a great one to use to create a natural looking arrangement of leaves and berries. My card design was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest made by Wild Violets Art – so pretty. And all the colors we’re using for today’s Challenge work perfectly.
Use a Blending Brush to add some Sahara Sand ink to a panel of Very Vanilla card stock. It’s subtle, but adds depth. Stamp the pine branches from the Christmas Season Stamp Set with Evening Evergreen ink. Then add some leafy branches with Soft Succulent ink stamped off once. The stems are Sahara Sand and the berries are Cherry Cobbler.
As a finishing touch, I added some fine splatters with a Light Misty Moonlight Blends marker. Adhere the art piece to a panel of Misty Moonlight card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Add the layer to the front of a Sahara Sand card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment from the Christmas to Remember Stamp Set with Misty Moonlight ink on a strip of Very Vanilla card stock. Cut it out with a die from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Lay the die upside down on a strip of Misty Moonlight card stock and use a pencil to trace around the outside edge of the die. Use Paper Snips to cut it out and adhere the sentiment label to the mat you just created with Liquid Glue. Adhere the sentiment to the card front with Dimensionals. Add a triple loop bow just below the sentiment with a Mini Glue Dot. Embellish with some Cherry Cobbler Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
For the inside, add a few pine branches to the lower right corner of the Very Vanilla panel with Evening Evergreen ink. A Sahara Sand branch with some Cherry Cobbler berries complete the arrangement. Add some Sahara Sand to the area with a Blending Brush and some fine splatters of Misty Moonlight. Stamp the sentiment from the Christmas to Remember stamp set with Misty Moonlight ink. Adhere the inside panel to a mat of Misty Moonlight card stock before adhering to the inside of the card with Glue.
