Stampin’ Up! Elegantly Said for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the new Elegantly Said Stamp Set and the Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a Sketch Challenge this week.  Here is my project:

And here is the Sketch we’re using:

This sketch is a perfect way to showcase some of the new Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper.  All of the sheets have foil accents on one side of the paper – Gold, Copper and/or Silver.  And it’s beautiful, though difficult to capture in pictures.

Add texture to a panel of  Very Vanilla card stock with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.  Use Stampin’ Seal to adhere it the front of a Basic Black card base.  Adhere the two panels of the Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper to the corresponding Basic Black card stock panels with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Adhere the larger vertical layer to the card front with Stampin’ Seal Tape.  Adhere the smaller horizontal layer to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the sentiment from the Elegantly Said stamp set on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Crop it with a die from the Ornate Frames Dies .  Turn the same die upside down on a panel of Basic Black card stock and trace the outline with a pencil.  Then use Paper Snips to cut along the lines to create a mat.

Adhere the sentiment to the mat with Liquid Glue.  Then adhere the sentiment layer to the card front with Glue.  Tie a triple loop bow with Silver Simply Elegant Trim.  Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the lower edge of the sentiment piece.  Embellish with  a silver dot from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials.

Stamp the floral image from the Elegantly Said stamp set on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink stamped off three times before adding the image to the card stock.  Stamp the sentiment in full strength Black.  Adhere the panel to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue and add a silver embellishment from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials.
