Stampin’ Up! Celebration Tidings Halloween Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Bog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Celebration Tidings Stamp Set and the Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a Color Challenge – here’s my project:

And here are the colors we are using. If you count the colors in the Iridescent Pearls, I used them all!

The Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper is doing all the work on this Halloween  card.  The lacey bats are fussy-cut from one pattern and adhered to a panel with shadowy bats.

To begin, use Cajun Craze ink to stamp the sentiment from the Celebration Tidings Stamp Set in the lower right corner of a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of Magic in This Night DSP (with bats flying in a dark sky) to the upper portion of the stamped panel.

Use Paper Snips to fussy-cut some lacey bats – also from a panel of Magic in This Night DSP.  Use Clear Wink of Stella to add some glitter and shine to the bats.  While they are still damp, shape them a bit so their wings are up, like they are flying.  Mine stayed raised after they dried.  Apply Liquid Glue to the body portion of the bat only and adhere them to the card front.

Cut a couple lengths of Black Glittered 5/8″ Organdy Ribbon and tie them together with a knot.  Wrap the ribbon across the front panel along the bottom edge of the DSP and wrap the ends to the back, securing with tape.  Then adhere the front panel to a Basic Black card base.  Embellish with a few Iridescent Pearls.

Use a couple fussy-cut bats on the inside of the card, adhering them to the Whisper White card stock panel with Glue.  Add some Clear Wink of Stella to them as well, just for fun.  Then use Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a mat of Cajun Craze card stock.  To complete, adhere the layer to the inside of the card base.
