Stampin’ Up! Jar Punch with Branches for Simply Stampin’ Sunday

Welcome to Simply Stampin’ Sunday – my post of Clean And Simple projects that can be made in minutes using Stampin’ Up! products.  This week’s card features the new Jar Punch, the Birds & More Dies, the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, and one of the Greenery Embossing Folders.  I also used the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set, the Ornate Frames Dies and the Sprig Punch.

The woodgrain patterned paper from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper is the perfect background to give this card a natural look.

The Greenery embossing folder adds a little texture to the jar – looks a bit like milkglass.

The gold trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack and the Gold Brushed Metallic card stock (available in the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalog) add shine, but not too much.

The inside is blank – ready to add a personal note – with strips of woodgrain paper across the top and bottom edges.

Here are the Simple Steps to make this card:

  1. Cut a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock to 4-1/4″ x 11″, score at 5-1/2″ and fold for the card base.
  2. Cut a 3-3/4″ x 5″ panel of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and adhere it to a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ panel of Whisper White card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  3. Use Liquid Glue to adhere the layer to the front of the Mossy Meadow card base.
  4. Use the Greenery Embossing Folder and die cutting machine to add texture to a 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ panel of Whisper White card stock.
  5. Use the Jar Punch to crop the jar shape from the embossed panel.
  6. Use the Jar Punch to crop a second jar from a plain piece of Whisper White card stock and adhere it to the back of the embossed piece with Liquid Glue.  (This will help it maintain it’s shape when added to the card front.)
  7. Wrap a length of 1/16″ Gold Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack around the top of the jar three times and secure the ends on the back with tape.
  8. Tie a small triple loop bow with the Gold Trim and adhere to the jar front with a Mini Glue Dot.
  9. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the jar, avoiding about 1/2″ from the top to allow space to tuck the branches under the jar.  Wait to peel the backing.
  10. Use the large branch die from the Birds & More Dies to cut a branch in three colors: Mossy Meadow card stock, Pear Pizzazz card stock and Gold Brushed Metallic card stock.
  11. Use the Sprig Punch to cut a branch from Gold Brushed Metallic card stock.
  12. Use Paper Snips to clip the branches and sprig into pieces.
  13. Lay the branches, sprigs and jar on the card front to determine placement of all the elements.
  14. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the branches and sprigs and then adhere the jar with the Dimensionals.
  15. Use White Stampin’ Emboss Powder with VersaMark ink and your Heat Tool to add the sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set to a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock.
  16. Crop the sentiment with a die from the Ornate Frames Die Set and adhere to the card front with Liquid Glue.
  17. Use Liquid Glue to adhere two 1/2″ x 3-3/4″ strips of In Good Taste DSP to a 3-3/4″ x 5″ panel of Whisper White card stock.
  18. Adhere the completed panel to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.
