Welcome to Simply Stampin’ Sunday – my post of Clean And Simple projects that can be made in minutes using Stampin’ Up! products.  This week’s Birthday Card features the new Best Dressed 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and a sentiment from the Timeless Tropical stamp set.  We made these cards at our January Inky Fingers Krew team meeting and I’ll probably prep more for my Open House this week.

This layout is CASEd from BJ Peters and has been a favorite of mine for a few years.  It’s my go-to design when I want the Designer Series Paper to be the focal point of a quick and easy card.  The Best Dressed DSP features stylish images of make up, purses, shoes, perfume and other girly things on one side and the reverse side is mostly these sweet floral prints. Love them!

Chose colors for the card base, mats and ribbons from the colors in the design.  The variety of these little floral prints gives you many options.  Are you a flower lover like I am?

And so many choices!  This DSP pack has NINE different soft floral prints to play with.  How is that?  There are 4 sheets each of 12 double-sided designs in this 6″ x 6″ paper pack.

We had a great time today – lunching, laughing, creating and sharing ideas and tips.  Our monthly get-togethers are lots of fun!

Here are the Simple Steps to make these cards:

1. Cut a 4-1/4″ x 11″ panel of card stock in the color of your choice.  Score at 5-1/2″ and fold in half for the card base.
2. The DSP panel is a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ square adhered to a 2-7/8″ x 2-7/8″ mat with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
3. The sentiment panel is 3-1/4″ x 4-3/8″ panel of Whisper White card stock.
4. Stamp the sentiment of your choice in the bottom right corner with black or a coordinating ink color .
5. Adhere the sentiment panel to a 3-1/2″ x 4-5/8″ mat with Liquid Glue.
6. Adhere the sentiment layer to the card front with Liquid Glue.
7. Adhere the DSP layer to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
8. Tie a small bow with coordinating ribbon or twine and adhere to the lower left corner of the DSP layer with a rolled Glue Dot.
9. (not shown) The inside is finished with a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ panel of Whisper White card stock adhered to a coordinating card stock mat cut to 3-3/4″ x 5″.
10. The layer is then adhered to the inside of the card with Glue.
