Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you.  My card features the Band Together Stamp Set and coordinating Detailed Bands Dies, plus some Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a sketch challenge this week – here’s my card:

What a fun sketch we had this week!  It looks like a lot is going on with this card, but it was actually quite simple to make.

Start with two panels of the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP cut the same size and adhere them to each other slightly offset.  Just give them a little twist when you glue them together.  They are adhered directly to the Night of Navy card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Use Night of Navy ink to stamp the sentiment from the Band Together stamp set on a panel of Rococo Rose card stock.  Use the oval die from the Detailed Bands Dies to cut it out.  Cut the medium size Detailed Band from Old Navy card stock.   Trim off the tabs and fussy-cut the ends to match the rest of the loops and swirls.

Use Glue Dots to adhere two lengths of the Linen Ribbon with white edges from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack across the front of the card.  Lay the Detailed Band in place over the ribbons and adhere the sentiment piece over the band and ribbons using Liquid Glue.  Then embellish with some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add a little sparkle.

The inside of the card is finished with a panel of Very Vanilla card stock adhered to a panel of Pressed Petals Specialty DSP slightly offset, the same as on the card front.  The layer is adhered to the card base with Glue and the sentiment from the Band Together Stamp Set is added with Night of Navy ink.
