Stampin’ Up! First Frost Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  I used the First Frost stamp set to create my card for today.  We have a color challenge this week – this is what I made:

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

The new First Frost stamp set has textured floral images with a frosted look and has coordinating dies in the Frosted Bouquet Framelits dies.

Use a Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write marker to ink the stems of the branch images and then use a Pool Party marker to ink the little berries.  Breathe on the stamp to add moisture and stamp the image on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Repeat three more times, facing the branches from the center to the edges of the art piece.

Ink up a sponge dauber with Pool Party ink and apply to the stems and edges of the thistle bloom.  Then add some Berry Burst ink in the center of the thistle with a sponge dauber before stamping on a scrap of Whisper White card stock.  Stamp and die cut the image five times.  Ink the rose images on a Berry Burst ink pad and stamp on Whisper White card stock.  Die cut the rose images, as well.  Lay out the die cut images on the stamped panel to create an arrangement you like.  Adhere the thistle blooms and one large rose with Liquid Glue.  The second large rose and a small rose are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Adhere the art piece to a panel of Berry Burst card stock.  Wrap the layer with a length of Silver Baker’s Twine, securing the ends on the back side with tape.  Tie a triple-loop bow and adhere to the panel with a Glue Dot.

Stamp the sentiment from the Beautiful Day stamp set with Berry Burst ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Adhere the panel to the front of the card base with Liquid Glue.  Then adhere the art piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the card interior, add a stamped branch inked with markers to a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Adhere the panel to the card interior with Liquid Glue and finish with a small die cut stamped rose.
