Stampin’ Up! Petal Promenade Love for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  I used the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper and the Sunshine Wishes Dies to create my card for today.  We have a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it:

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

My card layout today is based on The Paper Players Sketch Challenge: PP399

I love the photographic images in the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper collection.  Another plus is we can purchase a single pack of card stock containing eight sheets each of three coordinating colors to use with it.  I decided to use one of the designs on this Wedding Card.  So pretty!

To begin, use the Subtle Embossing Folder to add texture to a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Adhere the embossed panel to a Mossy Meadow card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Use glue to adhere a panel of Petal Promenade DSP to a Mossy Meadow card stock mat and adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.   Adhere a strip of Petal Promenade DSP to a Mossy Meadow card stock mat and then adhere the layer to the card front using Liquid Glue.

Use the Heart die from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies to cut two – one from Mossy Meadow card stock and a second one from Petal Pink card stock.  Use the “love” die from the same set to cut two – one from Mossy Meadow card stock and a second one from Very Vanilla card stock.  I used small dabs of Liquid Glue to adhere the like shapes together, off-setting the Mossy Meadow die cut on the bottom layer to mimic a shadow.

Use Liquid Glue to adhere the layered heart and sentiment to the card front.  Embellish the heart with a bow tied with Petal Pink Ribbon from the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.  Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it.  Add a couple of Pearls, Rhinestones and Petal Pink Adhesive Backed Sequins to add a little bling.

Stamp a sentiment from the Better Together stamp set with Mossy Meadow ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Adhere a narrow strip of Petal Promenade DSP to the left edge of the Very Vanilla panel and then adhere the panel to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue.
