Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop! Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products. This month we are all creating projects with a masculine theme and I have chosen to feature the new Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack, available June 1.
My card design was inspired by the Fab Friday 111 Sketch.
I started by selecting different patterns from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper stack. I just love the variety and selection – so many choices! The first layer is matted on Basic Black cardstock and popped with dimensionals on the card base. The vertical strips are matted on Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the first layer with Multipurpose Liquid glue. The sentiment is from the Guy Greetings stamp set, stamped in Basic Black Archival ink on a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock. One end is punched with the Banner Triple punch. It is glued to a strip of Basic Black cardstock which was also punched with the Banner Triple punch. The sentiment banner is adhered to the card with Dimensionals. It is embellished with a triple looped bow made with Basic Black solid baker’s twine, which I attached with a Glue Dot.
For the inside of the card, I used a panel of the Wood Textures paper with an added strip along the left side
The wood designs in this Stack are prints of photographs of real wood in many states, sizes and natural colors. They are perfect for backgrounds and focal points and great for “building” boxes and crates, plus anything else you can think of. They are 6″ x 6″, 48 sheets: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs and they are loose – no glued edge! Yay! Available June 1.
You will find a list of supplies, including cardstock cuts & dimensions for the layers at the bottom of this post.

Great masculine card. I wasn’t interested in this DSP until going through Amy’s hop. Thanks for the measurements. I’ll be CASEing this once June 1 rolls around.
This DSP is great! Have fun with it.
That’s awesome Sue! Perfect use of that wood textures paper pack and your clean design is amazing. Love the panel inside the card too! 🙂
Thanks, Amy. Following a great leader…
Oh my goodness!! I love this – and I love that you were able to perfectly use one of the “busy” designs in my favorite card stock stack!! Perfect card! 🙂
Thanks, Mary. Fun hopping with you!
Can’t wait for my order! Love this card. If it has to do with wood or trees, I am bound to like it. You did a great job of mixing the different papers.
Hard not to love this DSP. It’s awesome.
Really pretty. Those various woodgrain are fit together perfectly! TFS.
Thanks so much, Susan
Great masculine card!
Thank you, Linda
What a perfect guy card! I love how you featured so many of the patterns on one card…they work so well together! And using the lighter pattern on the inside is a fantastic idea! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
Thanks Amanda. Fun to play along
Super cute! I just got my pre-order yesterday – so excited! Your card whets my appetite! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
Thanks Heather. Enjoy that DSP. It’s great.
This is a throughly masculine card in every way! Love the way you accented the focal point with a mat and the twine bow. Great take on the sketch! Thanks for playing at Fab Friday.
Thanks so much! It was fun playing along.
