Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Friendship Rococo Rose Birthday for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see the great projects they are sharing with you.  My card features the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set.  We are all working with a color challenge this week.

Here are the colors we’re using:

I’m also participating in the Inspire.Create.Challenge #048  Theme: Birthday

The Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set just arrived on my front porch yesterday and I couldn’t wait to play with it.  I’m loving the Distinktive stamps that Stampin’ Up! has included in their line.  They have shading and dimension and all you do is ink and stamp!

To begin, use Rococo Rose ink to stamp the hydrangea bloom around the outside edges on the front of the Crumb Cake card base.  Then stamp the large pair of blooms on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock with Rococo Rose ink.  Use the stamp with the pair of leaves to add some foliage around the blooms using Mossy Meadow ink.  Add the stamen details to the centers of the flowers with Mossy Meadow ink, stamped off twice on a scrap first.

Adhere the art piece to a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock.  Tie a double knot with two lengths of Rococo Rose 1/2″ Gathered Ribbon, wrap across the front of the completed layer and secure the ends of the ribbon on the back side with tape.  Adhere the layer to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Use Gold Metallic Pearls to embellish the flower centers and scatter a few more on the card front.

The inside of this card is stamped to mirror the card front.  Stamp the hydrangea around the edges first.  The blooms and leaves are stamped off twice before stamping them on the Very Vanilla panel.  The sentiment is stamped with full strength Rococo Rose ink.  Adhere the stamped panel to a mat of Mossy Meadow card stock and then adhere the layer to the inside of the card.  This card combines a bit of elegance with an earthy look.  Enjoy!
