Stampin’ Up! Pink Plaid Valentines for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Celebration Tidings Stamp Set and the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper.  I also used the Celebration Labels Dies and the Heart Punch Pack.  We are all working with a Theme Challenge this week.  I have two quick note cards:

Our Theme this week is Plaid:

The Celebration Tidings Stamp Set has images and sentiments for four different holidays – Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine’s Day.  And the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper has 24 different plaid designs in different color combinations that span all these holidays too!  Wow, right?  And it’s on sale right now – 15% off until October 31st.

Both notecards have the Plaid Tidings DSP as the backgrounds and the hearts.   Use the plain heart punch to cut the darker pink plaid DSP. Use Liquid Glue to adhere it to a scalloped edge Whisper White heart with Liquid Glue.  Use Melon Mambo ink to stamp the sentiment from the Celebration Tidings stamp set on a scrap of Whisper White card stock.  Cut out the individual words free-hand with your Paper Snips.  Adhere the words to the heart with Glue.

Use the middle size die from the Celebrations Labels Dies to cut a label from the lighter pink plaid paper.  Adhere the label to front of the 3-1/2″ x 5″ Melon Mambo card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Wrap a length of Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around the card front and tie a bow off to one side.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment heart over the ribbon, securing it in place.  Embellish with a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Use Liquid Glue to adhere a square panel of the lighter pink plaid DSP to the front of a Melon Mambo 3″x 3″ card base.  Adhere a sentiment heart to the front of the card at a slight angle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Add some Rhinestone Basic Jewels for some sparkle.

For the inside of the 3-1/2″ x 5″ notecard, use Melon Mambo ink to stamp the heart flourish from the Celebration Tidings stamp set on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then use the medium size label die to cut the panel for the inside of the note card.  Adhere with Liquid Glue.

Stamp the heart flourish and a couple of single hearts on a 2-3/4″ square panel of Whisper White card stock.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere it to the inside of the small note card.

Love the fact you thought of Valentines for this plaid. What a great idea. I have fall and winter on my mind when I see all the paper and wondered what to do with the other colors? You made a great card, I might have to CASE the idea Sue
