Stampin’ Up! Parcels & Petals Birthday Card for Simply Stampin’ Sunday

Welcome to Simply Stampin’ Sunday – my post of Clean And Simple projects that can be made in minutes using Stampin’ Up! products.  This week’s card features the Parcels and Petals Bundle and Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.

The Parcels & Petals Stamp Set and Perfect Parcel Dies are carrying over into the new 2020-21 Annual Catalog, but they will not be offered as a bundle with 10% off.  The Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper is retiring, but is still available for ordering at this time.  This DSP is lightweight and has 24 sheets of 12×12 paper and includes 4 each of 6 double-sided designs.

I used one of the images designed as a card front, so it just needed to be cut to size.  Love the textured background behind the photographic image of real pressed flowers.

Add a strip of card stock across the front to set off the lace trim.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the sentiment, add a bow and some Rhinestones and done!

Snip out a small floral image to adhere to the card liner to carry the theme to the inside of the card, as well.

Here are the Simple Steps to make this card:

  1. Cut a panel of Night of Navy card stock to 4-1/4″ x 11″, score at 5-1/2″ and fold for the card base.
  2. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper to the front of the card.
  3. Cut a 1/2″ x 4-1/4″ strip of Night of Navy card stock and adhere it across the front of the card with the bottom edge of the strip 1-3/4″ up from the bottom of the card base.
  4. Cut an 8-1/2″ length of Very Vanilla 3/8″ Scalloped Lace Trim.
  5. Wrap the Lace Trim around the card front with the ends meeting on the front side where they will be covered by the sentiment.
  6. Use Glue Dots to secure the ends to the card front.
  7. Use Night of Navy ink to stamp the sentiment from the Parcels & Petals stamp set on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.
  8. Use a die from the Perfect Parcels Dies to cut out the sentiment.
  9. Adhere the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  10. Tie a bow with the Lace Trim and adhere to the card front with glue dots.
  11. Embellish the sentiment label with a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
  12. Trim a flower image from the Pressed Petals DSP and adhere to the bottom right corner of a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel of Very Vanilla card stock.
  13. Adhere the completed panel to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.
