Stampin’ Up! Birthday Bonanza for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper with a sentiment from the Music From the Heart Stamp Set.  We are all working with a color challenge this week – here’s my project:

And here are the colors we are using this week:

The Birthday Bonanza DSP has the cutest party animals!  There are coordinating stamps and dies in the Birthday Bonanza Suite, but I chose to fussy-cut this Toucan with balloons – all ready to party!  This Suite is retiring on June 2nd or while supplies last – don’t miss your chance to get it!

To begin, adhere a panel of Birthday Bonanza DSP to a panel of Basic Black card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then use Glue to adhere the layer to the front of a Bermuda Bay card base.  Cut a 2″ x 4-3/4″ strip of Birthday Bonanza DSP and use the Banner Triple Punch to shape one end.

Cut a 2-1/8″ x 4-3/4″ strip of Basic Black card stock.  Adhere the DSP strip to the card stock strip with Liquid Glue with an equal reveal at the top and sides.  Then use Paper Snips to hand trim the bottom of the mat to match up.  Use Paper Snips to fussy-cut the toucan with balloons image from the DSP.  Adhere to the banner with Liquid Glue.

Stamp the sentiment from the Music From The Heart Stamp Set on a strip of Whisper White card stock.  Use Paper Snips to cut the banner ends on the strip and adhere to the banner with Glue.  Tie a bow with the Black twine from the Country Club Twine Combo Pack and adhere with a Mini Glue Dot.  Adhere the banner to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, aligning the top of the banner even with the top of the card.

Use Liquid Glue to adhere a strip of Birthday Bonanza DSP along the left side of a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then adhere it to a panel of Basic Black card stock before adhering to the inside of the card with Glue.  Send it on it’s way to bring someone a smile.
