Stampin’ Up! Hanging Garden for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!  This month our theme is a “Feminine” card.  My floral lacy card celebrates Mother’s Day.  It features the Hanging Garden stamp set and Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  We have a few new participants in our hop this month – WooHoo!  Please take time to stop by to visit each blog to see what the Team members are sharing with you today.

My card has a cut-out on the front to view the artpiece on the inside – I call it a porthole, which is probably not right – but that’s what it reminds me of.  Use the Lace Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder on a quarter-page size panel of Whisper White card stock, then trim it down to the finished size.  Adhere to a panel of Pineapple Punch card stock with SNAIL.  Use a die from the Layering Circles Framelits to cut the opening in this layer.

Place the layer on the front of the card base and lightly trace inside the circle using a pencil.  Use the circle die to cut the opening through the card base.  Wrap a length of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon around the panel and adhere the ends on the back with tape.  Then adhere the front layer to the card base with Liquid Glue.  Cut the decorative circle trim from Pineapple Punch card stock with the Layering Circles Dies.  Adhere the trim with Liquid Glue.   The front is finished off with a Tulle Ribbon bow and small butterfly.

Stamp the basket from the Hanging Garden stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Color the image with Stampin’ Blends – the colors are listed below.  Use a circle die – larger than the porthole – to cut out the image.  Determine the placement of the art piece on the inside panel before stamping the sentiment from the Well Said stamp set on the Whisper White panel.  Adhere the art piece to the stamped panel, then the panel to the Pineapple Punch mat, then the layer to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue.

Stamp the small butterfly wings from the Butterfly Gala Stamp set twice with Memento ink on Whisper White card stock, cut out with the Butterfly Duet punch and then stamp the bodies.  Color with Stampin’ Blends.  Adhere one butterfly to the card front and one inside the card.  Ready for Mom!
