Stampin’ Up! Leaves of Holly Joy for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Leaves of Holly Stamp Set, the Holly Berry Dies, the Best Label Punch and the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper.  We are working with a Color Challenge this week.  Here is my card:

And these are the colors we are using (pick at least 3):

I believe all five colors are in the DSP image, plus I added Mossy Meadow and Gold!  It’s wonderful to have such pretty Designer Series Paper to play with.  The Boughs of Holly DSP definitely does not disappoint.

Start by adhering the three strips of Boughs of Holly DSP to the panel of Evening Evergreen card stock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then use Glue to adhere the layer to a panel of Basic White card stock.  Wrap a length of Linen Thread around the layered panel three times and adhere the ends on the back with tape.

Choose one of the Poinsettia floral sprays from the DSP pattern with the white background and use Paper Snips to fussy-cut.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the floral accent over the Linen Thread.  Die cut a few branches from a Gold Foil sheet using dies from the Holly Berry Dies set.  Tuck the branches under the floral, adhering with Mini Glue Dots.

Use Evening Evergreen ink to stamp the sentiment from the Leaves of Holly stamp set on a scrap of Basic White card stock.  Crop it with the cute Best Label punch – it’s great for small sentiments and greetings!  Adhere to the front panel with a bit of Liquid Glue.  Add a Linen Thread triple loop bow and a few shiny gold pearls from the Festive Pearls collection.  Then adhere the panel to the front of a Real Red card base with Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, fussy-cut a couple floral accents from the same pattern of Boughs of Holly DSP and adhere to the corners of a panel of Basic White card stock before adhering it to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.  Another pretty card ready to go!
