Stampin’ Up! Artfully Layered Birthday Wishes for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!  Our theme this month is “Birthday”.  My card today features the Artfully Layered Stamp Set, Tropical Layers Dies and the coordinating Artfully Composed Designer Series Paper.  We have a great group of participants in our hop this month.  Please take time to stop by to visit each blog to see what the Inkin’ Krew Team members are sharing with you today.

The Artfully Composed Designer Series Paper has some designs that are perfect for a masculine birthday card. To create the card front, cut two rectangular panels of DSP the exact same size, stack them one on top of the other and cut through both layers at once on the diagonal.  They will fit together perfectly.

Adhere the triangular panels to the front of a Crumb Cake card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Use a die from the Tropical Layers Dies to cut two leaves from Pear Pizzazz card stock.

Stamp the sentiment from the Artfully Layered stamp set on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with Evening Evergreen ink.  Crop the sentiment with a label die from the Tasteful Layers Dies.  Determine the placement of the leaves and sentiment before you start adhering them.

Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the leaves, making sure the dots will be hidden under the sentiment.  Adhere the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Embellish with a few Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots to complete.

Use Evening Evergreen ink to add a leaf image from the Artfully Layered stamp set to the upper right corner of a panel of Basic White card stock.  Adhere the panel to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.  It’s pretty simple, a bit artsy and defintely earthy, embracing nature.
