Stampin’ Up! Gingerbread & Peppermint Treat Holders for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Frosted Gingerbread Stamp Set, the Gingerbread Dies and the Pretty Pillowbox Dies.  I also used the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6×6 Designer Series Paper and the Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More Card Pack.  We are all working with a Color Challenge this week.  I made a number of fun treat holders:

These are the Colors we are using this week (pick at least 3) :

The Gingerbread & Peppermint 6×6 Designer Series Paper has all these colors and is great for making treat boxes and baskets.  I had a lot of fun playing around with it the other day – I bet you will, too!

The triangular box above is made with a 4″ x 6″ panel of DSP, first folded in half and then each end is folded in as a triangle.  It is decorated with a label from the Gingerbread & Peppermint Card Pack, peppermints die cut from the DSP and a Real Red Sheer Ribbon bow.

Use the Pretty Pillow Box Dies to cut out this sweet box from the Gingerbread & More DSP, then cut a label from Basic White Thick card stock.  Add an ornament image fussy-cut from the DSP.  Wrap a length of Mini Ruffled Ribbon around the Pillow Box and tie the tag to it with White Twine.

These treat holders are made with a 6×6 sheet of DSP.  Just four folds and they’re done.  They don’t require any adhesives!  Add some “cookies” die cut from the DSP with the coordinating Gingerbread Dies.

This sweet little basket is also made with a 6×6 sheet of DSP.  I added the die cut icing trim adhered with small dabs of Liquid Glue along the top edge.  The handle is a strip of Real Red card stock.  The front has an Old Olive label and an ornament cut with the Gingerbread Dies.  The back has the same label and a small ornament fussy-cut from the Designer Series Paper.  Add a White Twine bow to complete.

These treat holders are all quick and easy.  They’re a great way to showcase this great collection of patterns and really fun to make.
