Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship Autumn Card for the Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set, the Beautiful Trees Dies, the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a Theme Challenge this week.  Here is my project:

And our Theme is Autumn/Harvest:

The Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper has a number of patterns that remind me of Autumn.  The one I chose reminds me of a foggy morning in the Fall, when the woods look kind of dreamy.  Some of the colors are rich and some are muted.

Adhere a panel of the DSP to a panel of Early Espresso card stock.  Use the Beautiful Trees Dies to cut a large tree from Early Espresso card stock.  Adhere the tree to the front layer about a 1/4″ up from the bottom with small dabs of Multipupose Liquid Glue.

Use a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to crop a panel of Misty Moonlight card stock.  Turn the die upside down on a panel of Early Espresso card stock and trace around it lightly with a pencil.  Use Paper Snips to cut it out.  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Misty Moonlight label to the Early Espresso mat.  Adhere the layered label to the front panel about 3/4″ up from the bottom with Mini Glue Dots.

Wrap a length of Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim across the front panel and adhere the ends on the back with tape.  Use Misty Moonlight ink to stamp the sentiment from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Crop with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies set.  Adhere the sentiment label over the wrapped trim with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Tie a length of Suede Trim around the wrapped piece to create a faux bow and trim the ends.  Cut a bird from Merry Merlot card stock with a die from the Beautiful Trees Dies set.  Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it to the edge of the layered label.  Add a few copper colored Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.  Adhere the completed front layer to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use Liquid Glue to adhere two strips of Beauty of the Earth DSP to a panel of Basic White card stock.  Stamp the sentiment from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set with Misty Moonlight ink in the bottom right corner.  Add a die cut bird to the bottom left.  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the inside panel to an Early Espresso card stock mat before adhering the layer to the inside of the card.
