Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour You’re Amazing for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Color & Contour Stamp Set and Scalloped Contours Dies and the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a Sketch Challenge this week.  Here is my project:

And here is the Sketch we’re using:

The You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper has some beautiful designs featuring Balmy Blue and Basic White.  The combination is so crisp and clean plus it “feels” like summer.

Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere a striped panel of the Designer Series Paper to the front of a Balmy Blue card base.  Next, use the second largest die from the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut a mat from Basic White Thick card stock.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere a panel of the DSP with the blue flowers to a panel of Balmy Blue card stock before adhering the layer to the scalloped mat.  The completed layer is then adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use a die from the Meadows Dies set to cut a leafy branch.  Use Paper Snips to cut it into three smaller branches.  Adhere them to the lower edge of the art piece with Mini Glue Dots.  Use Pear Pizzazz ink to stamp the sentiment from the Color & Contour Stamp Set on a panel of Basic White Thick card stock.  Crop the sentiment with the smallest die from the Scalloped Contours Dies.  Adhere to the card front using Mini Glue Dots where it overlaps the art piece and a double stacked Dimensional under the right and left bottom corners.

Using the Brilliant Wings Dies, cut a solid butterfly from Basic White card stock and a detailed butterfly from Balmy Blue card stock.  Adhere the layers together using small dabs of Liquid Glue.  Gently shape the butterfly to add some lift to the wings.  Snip a Dimensional in half and add a piece under the end of each wing.  Adhere the body of the butterfly to the art piece with Liquid Glue, then peel the paper from the Dimensionals and adhere the wings so they are raised.

Use Pear Pizzazz ink to stamp the sentiment from the Color & Contour Stamp Set on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Use the largest die from the Scalloped Contours Dies to trim the panel before adhering it to the inside of the card base with Liquid Glue.  So pretty!
