Stampin’ Up! Pattern Party Flowers & Leaves Thank You for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the new Pansy Patch Stamp Set, Flowers & Leaves Punch and the (Host Reward) Pattern Party Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a Theme Challenge this week.  Here is my project:

And the Theme this week is Punch It! :

Punches are a quick and easy way to add shapes, color and interest to a design.  Stampin’ Up! has a great variety of punches to choose from and they’re fun to mix and match.  I needed to make a batch of Thank You notes and decided to use the Flowers & Leaves Punch along with the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper.  Did you know that the Pattern Party DSP is a Stampin’ Rewards item that is FREE with a $180 order (before tax and shipping)?  Sweet deal!

Begin building the floral accent by layering two of the large flowers punched from the Pattern Party DSP with the Flowers & Leaves Punch.  Use some Liquid Glue in the center to adhere.  Add a small blossom from Bumblebee card stock punched with the Strawberry Builder Punch.  Add a Basic Black circle punched with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch as the flower center.

Punch two large leaves and one small leaf from Granny Apple Green card stock using the Flowers & Leaves Punch.  Adhere the leaves to the back of the flower with Liquid Glue.  Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set on a strip of Basic White card stock.  Use the banner die from the Tasteful Labels Dies to crop the sentiment.

Adhere a strip of Pattern Party DSP to the front of a Basic White Thick card base, about 1-1/4″ up from the bottom edge, with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Next adhere the sentiment to the card front using Glue.  Then adhere the floral accent over the left end of the banner.  If you want to use Dimensionals, you certainly can.  It was important that these cards be as flat as possible for my mailing purposes, so the samples shown are glued.

A small blossom punched from Pattern Party DSP with the Strawberry Builder Punch with a Basic Black center is adhered to the inside of the blank card to add a little color.  This allows plenty of space for a handwritten Thank You note.
