Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Wedding Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Forever Fern Stamps, Forever Flourishing Dies, In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper.  We are all working with a Sketch Challenge this week.  Here is my project:

And here is the sketch we are using:

Weddings and spring, flowers and butterflies – they seem to go together in my mind.  This card features a woodgrain panel for a natural look, as well.  Silver Foil rings and Rhinestone Basic Jewels add some sparkle and shine.

Adhere a woodgrain panel from the In Good Taste Designers Series Paper collection to a panel of Basic White card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then glue the layer to the front of a Soft Sea Foam card base.

Use the Layering Circles Dies to cut two rings from Silver Foil paper.  Adhere the rings to the card front with Liquid Glue as shown.  Cut the branches from Soft Sea Foam card stock using a die from the Forever Flourishing Dies.  Trim off the lowest set of leaves from each branch.  Then adhere the branches over the rings using Mini Glue Dots.

The sentiment from the Forever Fern Stamp Set is added to a panel of Basic White card stock with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Crop the sentiment with a die from the Ornate Layers Dies.  Adhere the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Use Paper Snips to fussy-cut an assortment of butterflies from a sheet of Butterfly Bijou DSP.  Gently fold the butterflies to add some dimension and adhere them to the card front with Glue added under their body only, so the wings remain lifted.  Complete with a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Stamp the sentiment from the Flowering Blossoms Stamp Set on a panel of Basic White card stock with Smoky Slate ink.  Adhere the panel to the inside of the card with Liquid Glue.  Add a couple branches of leaves to the corners using Glue Dots to adhere.  And then add a fussy-cut butterfly to complete.
