Stampin’ Up! Sweet Ice Cream Birthday for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!  Our theme this month is “Birthday”.  My project today features the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set and the coordinating Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper.  We have a great group of participants in our hop this month.  Please take time to stop by to visit each blog to see what the Inkin’ Krew Team members are sharing with you today.

The card I made today features one of the patterns in the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper.  I love that it’s fun, colorful and can stand alone as the card front.  The script sentiments in the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set look handwritten – bonus!

Adhere a panel of Ice Cream Corner DSP to a mat of Blackberry Bliss card stock using Liquid Glue.  Wrap a length of Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon centered across the layer and secure the ends on the back side with tape.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the layer to the front of a Bermuda Bay card base.

Use Bermuda Bay ink to stamp the sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set on a strip of Basic White card stock.  The right end of the strip is cropped with the Banner Triple Punch.  Use the same punch to crop one end of a strip of Blackberry Bliss card stock.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment strip to the card stock mat and trim the left end, if needed.

The sentiment banner is adhered to the card front over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Tie a bow with the Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon and use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it over the ribbon next to the sentiment.  Adhere a few sequins from the Woven Threads Sequins Assortment for some sparkle.

Use Bermuda Bay ink to stamp the sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set on a panel of Basic White card stock for the inside.  Use Paper Snips to cut an ice cream cone image from the DSP and adhere it to the inside panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then adhere the panel to a Blackberry Bliss mat and then to the inside of the card with Glue.  So easy to make and so fun to wish someone happiness on their special day!
