Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!  Our theme this month is “Celebrate”.  My project today features a Sneak Peek of the Simply Succulents Stamp Set and the coordinating Potted Succulent Dies, available as a bundle on January 5th.  We have a great group of participants in our hop this month.  Please take time to stop by to visit each blog to see what the Inkin’ Krew Team members are sharing with you today.

I used Clear Embossing with the Simply Succulents Stamp set and the new Blending Brushes to create this card to share with you.

Use Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder with Versamark ink and the Heat Tool to add the succulent images to panels of Whisper White Thick card stock.  Use the NEW Blending Brushes to add layers of color over the embossed images.  Work from light to dark, using lighter colors to start and then add darker shades sparingly, and you’ll see the image come to life.  Use a dry tissue to wipe any excess ink off the embossing.  Crop all the images with coordinating dies from the Potted Succulents Dies.

Use Rococo Rose ink to stamp the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set across the top of a panel of Rococo Rose Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper.  This paper is coming soon in the Sale-A-Bration brochure!   Adhere to a panel of Whisper White card stock and then adhere the layer to the front of a Rococo Rose card base.

Use Soft Suede ink to stamp the flower pot from the Simply Succulents stamp set on a panel of Cajun Craze card stock and crop it with the the coordinating die from the Potted Succulents Dies.  Adhere the pot to the front panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Adhere the largest Succulents image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The medium size image is adhered with Mini Glue Dots over the larger image and with Dimensionals where it extends beyond the edge.  The smallest image is adhered over the largest with Dimensionals.  Complete with a bow tied with new Blushing Bride 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon.

Use Rococo Rose ink to stamp the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Stamp the image in the bottom right corner using Soft Seafoam Ink stamped off once.  Then adhere to the inside of the card base.

Here is another version of this card that I demonstrated to our Team this past weekend.  I used the same technique and a Blackberry Bliss card base.  The bow is tied with new Blackberry Bliss 3/8″ Striped Ribbon.  The sentiment is from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set, cropped with a label die included in the Potted Succulents Dies.

Have fun with this technique and embrace the fact that each time you color it up, it will be unique.  The same but different, as I like to think.
