Stampin’ Up! Christmas Means More for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thanksgiving and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Christmas Means More Stamp Set, the ‘Tis the Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, the Sounds of the Season Dies and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies .  We are all working with a Sketch Challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

And here is the sketch we are using this week:When I saw this sentiment from the Christmas Means More Stamp Set, I felt like it was meant to be used with the bell patterned paper from the ‘Tis the Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper collection.

Adhere a panel of the DSP to a Cherry Cobbler mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then cut a strip of the Cherry Cobbler patterned paper and crop one end with the Banner Triple Punch.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the banner along the right side of the front panel, 1/2″ down from the top and 1/2″ in from the side.  Adhere the completed layer to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Stamp the sentiment from the Christmas Means More Stamp Set with Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Use the second to largest scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to crop the panel.  Then line the panel back up in the die, this time trimming it a bit shorter, by two scallops.  Only run it through the machine as far as you need to for the second cut, then back it out.

Color the bells with Smoky Slate Light and Dark Blends Markers, then add some sparkle to them with a Clear Wink of Stella brush.  Use Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment piece to a panel of Smoky Slate card stock.  Color two lengths of Real Red Braided Linen Trim with a Dark Cherry Cobbler Blends marker on both sides and allow to dry.  Wrap one length of trim around the sentiment panel near the top edge and secure the ends on the back with tape.

Tie a small bow with the second length of trim and adhere with a Mini Glue Dot.  Use the largest bell from the Sounds of the Season Dies to cut a few holly leaves from a scrap of Garden Green card stock and some berries from a scrap of Cherry Cobbler card stock.  Use Glue to adhere them to the single bell.  Adhere the sentiment panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use Paper Snips to fussy cut some images of bells from the DSP.  Adhere them to a panel of Whisper White card stock as shown.  Then use Liquid Glue to adhere the inside panel to the Cherry Cobbler mat before adhering the layer to the inside of the card base.  So sweet, with plenty of space for your handwritten message.
