Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!  Our theme is “Christmas or Happy Holidays”.  My project today features the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set and the coordinating Poinsettia Dies.  We have a great group of participants in our hop this month.  Please take time to stop by to visit each blog to see what the Inkin’ Krew Team members are sharing with you today.

Using the Poinsettia Dies with the Red Velvet Paper makes for some beautiful flowers.  The veining details are embossed into the velvet, adding texture and interest.

To build the card front, start by embossing a panel of Soft Seafoam card stock with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  Adhere the panel to the front of a Garden Green card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then adhere a strip of Poinsettia Place DSP to a Garden Green card stock mat before adhering it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the smallest size two-piece flower set from the Poinsettia Dies, cut two blooms from Red Velvet Paper.  Adhere them together with the petals offset using Liquid Glue.  Adhere a Beaded Pearl embellishment to the center of the flower with some Mini Glue Dots.  Cut three of the berry branches from a Silver Foil Sheet using a die from the Poinsettia Dies set.  Determine the placement of the berry branches and adhere them to the card base using Mini Glue Dots.  Then adhere the completed flower to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use Real Red ink to stamp the sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set on a panel of Soft Seafoam card stock.  Crop the sentiment with a label die from the Perfect Parcels Dies.  Trace the outline of the die on a panel of Garden Green card stock and cut out by hand with Paper Snips.  Use Glue to adhere the sentiment to the hand-cut mat, then adhere to the card front with Dimensionals.  Embellish the sentiment piece with a medium size Pearl Basic Jewel.

Use Real Red ink to stamp the sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set in the center of a panel of Soft Seafoam card stock.  Cut two of the smallest flowers from Real Red card stock and adhere them together with Glue.  Cut a branch of berries from a Silver Foil Sheet and snip into smaller pieces.  Adhere the flower to the upper left corner of the stamped panel with Glue, slipping the branches under it.  The flower center is a berry trimmed from a branch with Paper Snips.  The inside panel is adhered to the card base with Glue.  I had fun making this card and I hope you will, too!
