Stampin’ Up! Gnome in the Snow for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  Please be sure to visit everyone’s blog  to see the great projects they are sharing with you this week.  My project today features the Gnome for the Holidays Stamp Set and the Feels Like Frost 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper, along with the Snowman Season Stamp Set.  We are all working with a Theme Challenge this week.  Here’s my card:

The theme this week is Snow/Snow Scene/Snowflakes:

I decided the gnome with snowflakes on his cap would be the perfect addition to the snowy scene in the Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP. To begin, adhere a panel of the DSP to a Whisper White Thick panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Use Gray Granite ink to stamp the gnome from the Gnome for the Holidays Stamp Set on a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock.  Let it dry thoroughly then color the image with Stampin’ Blends markers: Light Petal Pink for his nose and hands, Light Seaside Spray for his hat, Light Night of Navy for his outfit and hat details, Light & Dark Smoky Slate for his beard, mustache and the bell on his hat and Light & Dark Crumb Cake for his boots.  I also added a few stokes of the Color Lifter as highlights in his beard.  Add Wink of Stella to the bell, his beard and the snowflakes on his hat.

The gnome is cropped with a Layering Ovals die and the Misty Moonlight mat is cut with a Stitched Shapes die.  Adhere the art piece to the mat with Liquid Glue, then adhere it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Emboss the sentiment from the Snowman Season Stamp Set on a panel of Misty Moonlight card stock using White Stampin’ Emboss powder.  Then crop it with a die from the Tasteful Labels Dies set.

Wrap a length of Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker’s Twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack around the background layer three times, securing the ends on the back with tape.  Use Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the twine.  Then adhere the front panel to the Misty Moonlight card base with Dimensionals.  Complete by adding a triple loop bow adhered with a Mini Glue Dot and a few sequins from the Snowflake Sequins pack adhered with small dabs of Liquid Glue.

Adhere a strip of the Feels Like Frost DSP to the Whisper White inside panel using Liquid Glue.  Stamp the sentiment from the Snowman Season Stamp Set with Misty Moonlight ink.  Then adhere the completed panel to the inside of the card base with Glue.  One more Christmas card ready to send, yay!
